This piece was deeply experimental. There are those times when I simply start working with absolutely no idea what will become, but I also know I am looking to try and do things I have yet to do in other work. In this process, I often work myself into a design corner requiring the ‘saving’ of the piece, often more than once; which leads to new ideas in design segmentation, depth of layers, line combinations and reflective surfaces. When this process works out some very interesting pieces arise.

This particular experiment ended up pleasing me, but for different reasons than usual. The quality of workmanship is spot on and I know that when worn it will elicit much comment from those that see it.
